Ruth qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2009 at the University of Liverpool. Ruth continued her education at Liverpool University for a number of years, completing an MSc in Veterinary Infection and Disease Control and a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology. Her PhD thesis investigated A Multifactorial Genetic Approach to Improving Welfare in the Racing Greyhound. Ruth is a licensed Greyhound Racecourse Veterinary Surgeon, and is a member of the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) Veterinary Sub-Committee. Ruth has also spent several years working as a Lecturer in the School of Veterinary Science at Liverpool University.
Ruth joined the team at Churchview in 2012, and enjoys all aspects of her job working at the Heswall and Neston surgeries. At home, Ruth has five guinea pigs, two rabbits, a mouse and a rescued hare that she hand-reared.
